The 13th of September marks 101 years since Roald Dahl was born! Fans around the world will be celebrating the author who is famous for writing children stories such as: Matilda, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The BFG, Fantastic Mr Fox and many more! Roald Dahl was born in 1916, in Cardiff, Wales, where he was born to Norwegian parents, however at the age of three he lost both his sister and father. His mother chose to remain in Wales as his fathers wishes was that Roald was to be educated in British schools. From there, Roald went to school in Derbyshire, where he thought of one of his most important works.
